New in Clinician’s Toolkit: Section VII Suicide Risk Assessment Materials

As one of the leading causes of death (www.cdc.gov/ViolencePrevention/suicide), suicide demands special attention from health care providers, school personnel, counselors, and anyone who works with vulnerable populations (e.g., correctional settings, child welfare,  etc.). Division 12’s Section on Clinical Emergencies and Crises (Section VII) has recently compiled a set of resources now available for download in the Clinician’s Toolkit area of our site (members only). These include fact sheets on suicide risk factors, suicide and diversity, and suicide in correctional settings, as well as a National Suicide Prevention Lifeline Wallet Card. Thank you Section VII for offering these valuable resources.

We invite you to comment on what you have found helpful in working with populations with high risk of suicidal behavior. What resources have you found helpful? What other resources might you like to have?
